ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) –  Governor Jay Nixon gave details about how building a new proposed NFL football stadium in Saint Louis will occur at an accelerated pace. The Governor has agreements with local construction unions.

Union construction workers have agreed to work  three, eight-hour shifts, five days a week. This pace is expected to shave an expected $45 million off the projected cost and finish a year ahead of schedule.  The stadium is expected to bring 1,500 jobs to the area.  The total cost of the stadium is estimated at $900 million.

This is just one part of the determining the future of the Rams. The NFL and the team’s owner Stan Kronke will also play roles.
