ST. LOUIS (KTVI) – St. Louis police are investigating a robbery that took place on a Walgreens parking lot in the 4200 block of Lindell this past Tuesday night.

Police say two African-American females stole a white Maltese service dog from a vehicle on the parking lot. The dog weighs 8 pounds and is named “Polo”.

The victim, a 29-year-old woman was walking to her vehicle when the two women asked to use the victim’s mobile phone. The woman refused and a struggle ensued when one of the suspects opened the victim’s car door to take her mobile phone.

One of the suspects punched the victim, while the other suspect opened the passenger side door taking the dog and the victim’s purse.

When victim exited her vehicle, one of the suspects attempted to steal the victim’s car, but was blocked by parked car.

Both suspects fled the scene in a dark colored mini-van.
