ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI)-St. Louis police have another murder investigation on their hands this Friday.  This time it’s a double homicide Friday morning in north city.

The latest violence brings the number of homicides to six in the city in less than 24 hours. So far there have been no arrests.

The latest double homicide happened around 8am Friday morning on Goodfellow and Julian. Two African American men in their late 20’s to early 30’s were discovered with multiple puncture wounds. Both were dead at the scene. One was on the sidewalk on Goodfellow, the other just around the corner on Julian.

Captain Michael Sack, the commander of the Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit, wouldn’t confirm if the two had been shot. But, a resident said he heard several shots in the area.

Our partners at the Post-Dispatch are reporting that the two victims were brothers.

The violence  started a little before 3pm Thursday at Adelaide and Hall in north city. Two men with ski masks got out of a car and opened fire with an assault fire at the busy intersection. A man in his 50’s, an innocent bystander, was shot and killed. Two other innocent victims were also hurt.

Fast forward to around 6:30pm Thursday. The body of an African American man was found inside a burning car at North 20th and Madison. Two other homicides happened not long after that one.

At this point, police say there have been no connections established between any of the six homicides from Thursday and last night into Friday morning.
