ST. LOUIS, MO (KTVI) – A serial sex offender is behind bars in St. Louis, after police say he offended yet another unassuming bystander in the Central West End.

On Saturday around lunchtime, employees say 49-year-old Marc Lee was sitting alone at a table at the Coffee Cartel in the Central West End.

A female employee noticed him staring at her. Then a patron noticed something else.  He was inappropriately exposed and touching himself. The patron recorded a cell phone video of his lewd act, and called police.

Employees say police officers quickly entered the coffee shop, and hauled him away in handcuffs.

Just down the street from Coffee Cartel, the staff at Bar Louie says Lee did the same thing at their restaurant, at least twice. Bartender Ryan Bell says, “We’re just glad he’s gone, pretty much, because he was scaring our bartenders, he was traumatizing the people around him.”

Prosecutors say Lee continued this pattern of indecency in front of another Central West End business, then in Clayton, Town and Country, and, FOX 2 was informed, on campus at St. Louis University.

In addition to any jail time he may face, this charging document shows Lee is ordered to stay out of the Central West End.

Jim Whyte, Executive Director of the Central West End Neighborhood Security Initiative, states, “We are thankful for the quick response from the SLMPD and apprehension of Lee.  I hope that in addition to the criminal punishment Lee faces, he receives appropriate mental health intervention.”

Lee is charged with 2nd Degree Sexual Misconduct, as a Prior Offender. At the time of this latest incident, Lee was on probation for two previous Sexual Misconduct convictions.

He is being held on $30,000 cash-only bond, for these three incidents.  He now faces up to one year behind bars or a $1,000 fine. He could also face additional jail time for his previous charges.
