ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO (KTVI)- Families promised eternal care for their loved ones have been angered and heartbroken over the poor maintenance and conditions at Oak Grove cemetery and mausoleum located on St. Charles Rock Road. On Tuesday, Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster filed a civil lawsuit in St. Louis County Circuit Court against the cemetery’s owner, Marilyn Stanza, and her companies, Oak Grove Cemetery Association and Oak Grove Mausoleum Company.

There have been more than 45 complaints to the Attorney General’s office about conditions throughout the cemetery grounds and mausoleum, exorbitant fees for moving loved ones to a more suitable resting place, and excessive delays for delivery of purchased grave markers.

The FOX Files has been investigating conditions at the cemetery since May 2014 when we began receiving complaints.

A Facebook page titled, “Family In Oak Grove Cemetery,” was created for people to voice concerns with the cemetery’s conditions.
